The valley is known for its dark skies, making it ideal for stargazing and photography, and the surrounding landscape offers year-round activities including hiking, fishing, hunting, off-roading, kayaking, and snowmobiling, with the Great Sand Dunes just a drive away. Whether you’re passing through or planning a longer stay, Antonito makes a great home base for exploring the San Luis Valley while still having a quiet, comfortable place to come back to at the end of the day.
